Internal Quality Assurance Unit

The Internal Quality Assurance Unit is a collegial body. It consists of 7 members, of whom 5 are representatives of the academic staff from the main units, one representative from the Student Council of UMT, and one external expert. The members of the unit from UMT are approved by the Academic Senate upon the proposal of the Rector.
Competencies of the Internal Quality Assurance Unit:
1. To periodically assess the effectiveness of teaching and research activities in the main units of UMT in accordance with standards.
2. To periodically assess the effectiveness of administrative and financial activities.
3. After each assessment, to report the results and relevant proposals to the Academic Senate.
The constituent units of UMT are required to make available to the Internal Quality Assurance Unit all necessary documentation for the fulfillment of its functions.
