The Congress of the University of Medicine, Tirana, has as its mission the provision of scientific research activities and professional development with health professionals, foreign and local academic staff, scientific researchers at national and international level, as well as students. Discussions and dissemination of the latest knowledge and innovations in the field of medicine and public health are expected at this activity. The main objective of this congress is the promotion of science in the medical field and the advancement of new and sustainable practices for the improvement of healthcare. This activity is planned to be held not only in fulfillment of the mission of the University of Medicine, Tirana, but also with the European directives, as well as with the strategic objectives of the ministry responsible for education (related to science) and the ministry responsible for health (related to the continuing education of health professionals).
Through scientific sessions, abstracts/presentations/posters, the congress will create opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among professionals in the field of health sciences, at national and international levels. The congress will also serve as a forum to discuss the latest developments in science, technology and innovations in the field of health sciences, consolidating the leadership of the Medical University of Tirana in this field.
Also, UMT, by offering accredited scientific activities in accordance with the standards of DCM no. 788/2015, supports the continuing education and professional development of healthcare professionals, becoming a key factor in providing the opportunity for professional certification not only for UMT alumni, but also for all other professionals. This process not only helps doctors and healthcare professionals keep their knowledge and skills updated, but also improves the quality of healthcare, increases patient confidence and ensures a more sustainable and advanced healthcare system. Continuing education is an investment in the future of medicine and the well-being of society.
