Study Programs

Description of the Faculty

In 1959, the Department of Stomatology was established within the Faculty of Medicine, initially represented by a group of internal and external lecturers. In 1964, this department was organized into three separate departments: the Department of Therapy, the Department of Surgery and the Department of Dental Orthopedics. After a successful period, in 1998, these three departments were merged to form a single Department, which remained as such until 2011, when three new sections were created: Therapy, Oro-Maxillofacial Surgery, and Dental Orthopedics, which were integrated into the Basic Unit of Stomatology.

The Faculty of Dental Medicine, as an independent structure, was established in 2013 by a decision of the Council of Ministers (VKM No. 43), separating from the Faculty of Medicine. Currently, the Faculty is divided into three specialized departments: the Department of Dental Therapy, the Department of Oro-Maxillofacial and Paraclinical Surgery, and the Department of Dental Orthopedics.

The Faculty of Dental Medicine offers study programs at the first, second, and third cycles of studies, as follows:
