On April 6, 2025, the Rector of the University of Medicine, Tirana, Prof. Dr. Xheladin Draçini, held an official meeting with the Italian representatives of the international project ‘Health Ship’, an important initiative promoted by the One Health Foundation and Adria Ferries, within the framework of the One Healthon initiative.
The visit to the University of Medicine took place within the framework of the project’s itinerary, which for the second consecutive year connects the Italian and Albanian coasts through the powerful message of promoting a culture of health education and disease prevention.
In this context, Prof. Draçini emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the field of healthcare and the opportunities for future partnerships in joint research and academic projects.
The University of Medicine expresses its gratitude to the Albanian Embassy in Italy for this valuable initiative and for the dedication of Italian specialists who provided free medical services to citizens during the Ancona-Durrës-Ancona journey.
