Open Science is a set of principles and practices aimed at making scientific research across all fields accessible to everyone, for the benefit of scientists and society at large. Open Science is not just about ensuring that scientific knowledge is accessible, but also about making the very process of creating that knowledge inclusive, fair, and sustainable.
The UNESCO recommendation on Open Science offers an internationally accepted definition, as well as a set of shared values and guiding principles for it. It also outlines a series of actions that support the fair and equal implementation of Open Science for all, at individual, institutional, national, regional, and international levels.
