The University of Medicine, Tirana offers the possibility of study transfers for students who have completed at least one year of studies in the same or similar programs of the same cycle, either within the institution or from other higher education institutions, according to the quotas approved by the Academic Senate of UMT. The decision for full or partial recognition of the credits accumulated by a student, with the purpose of continuing studies at UMT, is made by the relevant committee established at the main unit accepting the student, based on the criteria defined in its regulations. The final approval of the transfer request is made by the Rector of UMT, following the approval of the Dean’s Office of the main unit where the candidate has applied.
Individuals who have completed a study program have the right to pursue a second study program of the same cycle, according to the quotas approved by the Academic Senate of UMT. In this case, applicants are generally required to hold a degree closely related to the second program they wish to pursue, and those with the highest grade point averages are selected.
