The University of Medicine, Tirana offers the possibility of transferring studies to students who have completed at least one year of study in the same or similar programs of the same cycle, within the institution or from other higher education institutions, according to the quotas approved by the Academic Senate of UMT. The decision on the full or partial recognition of the credits accumulated by a student, for the purpose of continuing studies at UMT, belongs to the relevant committee established at the main unit that accepts the student, according to the criteria set out in its regulation. The final approval of the transfer request is made by the Rector of UMT, after the approval of the relevant Dean's Office of the main unit where the candidate has applied.
Persons who have completed a study program have the right to follow a second study program of the same cycle, according to the quotas approved by the Academic Senate of UMT. In this case, candidates with a degree similar to the second program in which they seek to study are accepted for application, as a rule, from which those with the highest average are selected.
