Sot, pranë Universitetit të Mjekësisë, Tiranë, u zhvillua Ceremonia e Bluzave të Bardha, e cila shënon nisjen zyrtare të rrugëtimit akademik për studentët më të rinj.
Tre Dekanët e fakulteteve, në fjalimet e tyre përshëndetëse, i uruan një mirëseardhje të ngrohtë studentëve duke shprehur krenarinë që ata po i bashkohen një komuniteti që përpiqet për përkushtim, shkencë dhe humanizëm.
Në vijim të ceremonisë, Rektori i UMT Prof. Xheladin Draçini, uroi të gjithë studentët për zgjedhjen e rrugës së tyre të jetës dhe karrierat që sapo kanë nisur, duke paraqitur edhe vizionin e së ardhmes të universitetit.
Në momentin më të pritur të ceremonisë, pas Betimit të Hipokratit, studentët e rinj veshën bluzat e bardha, duke shënuar kështu fillimin e rrugës së tyre drejt formimit si profesionistë të shëndetit. Ky gjest, i cili mban në vetvete një simbolikë të fuqishme, përfaqëson hyrjen në një mjedis universitar ku profesionalizmi, përkushtimi dhe empatia janë në themel të gjithçkaje.

It is a special honor and pleasure for me to warmly welcome you to the new academic year 2024-2025 at the University of Medicine, Tirana!
Warmly congratulating each of the 1624 students who begin their formative journey today at the University of Medicine, Tirana; I would like to share with you the vision of the future of our institution.
We aim to build an environment and community of values by developing our university as a place where education is not only the transmission of knowledge, but also a continuous, inclusive and cultural dialogue between different health sciences professions.
I assure you, dear students, that we will do our utmost to offer you the highest quality education towards your professional and human formation of the highest level. The University of Medicine, Tirana represents a productive and innovative academic environment of health sciences that promotes the exchange of knowledge and creativity through scientific research and internationalization. Every year you will have excellent opportunities for student exchanges in the ERASMUS programs and not only, with dozens of foreign partner universities; as well as active participation in numerous scientific research projects.
The medical university of the future aims to become a reference center for medical studies in the region and beyond, educating doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, physiotherapists, midwives, technicians; all health professionals; with prominent social responsibility and representation in terms of specific contribution to collective health well-being.
At our university, we aim to form a new format of health professional; capable of integrating naturally into healthcare systems and contemporary hospitals; where patient care is combined with Education and Scientific Research.

For 9 years now, the White Shirt Ceremony has marked the beginning of the academic year at our university, but this is the first year that we are all together, conveying the important message that the white shirt is not just for doctors; it represents a unifying and purifying symbol for all health professions. Today, at the center of medical sciences is health and not disease; of course, the right approach to this new paradigm is multidimensional, empathetic and transversal through multidisciplinary treatment by all healthcare operators.
Dear fellow educators; the major challenge that awaits us in the coming years is digital informatization and the applications of Artificial Intelligence in medical sciences and the teaching process. In a few years, an accelerated evolution of the development of innovative technologies and precision medicine has occurred. In our vision, we consider that the large-scale application of advanced digital technologies complements, but does not replace, the essential value of the human being as an inalienable personality; always at the center of every decision-making in the field of medicine.
