The University of Medicine, Tirana, signed today a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, aiming to include Health Center No. 10, which has been operating as a Family Medicine Center for one year, into the professional practice network for Family Medicine residents.
This cooperation represents an important step towards strengthening the practical component in the training process of residents, reinforcing the connection between medical higher education and clinical practice in primary care. Residents will have the opportunity to actively engage in an integrated, patient-centered service model, contributing to the provision of higher-quality and community-oriented care.
The Rector of the University of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Xheladin Draçini, stated that:
"This agreement is a strategic initiative aimed at preparing our students as competent professionals capable of fulfilling the key role of the family doctor within the healthcare system.
“It reflects our commitment to modern medical education, closely linked to the needs of society.”
This cooperation model will soon be expanded to other health centers across the country, ensuring a more sustainable and personalized approach to the health of every citizen.
