As part of the winning project from the Ministry of Education and Sports for the academic year 2023-2024, on the topic "Support and infrastructural strengthening of professional practice laboratories at the Faculty of Medical Sciences", the University of Medicine, Tirana has invested in advanced equipment to improve students' practical skills and strengthen the institution's research base.
Improved laboratories include:
Nursing-Midwifery Laboratory – Advanced simulation manikins (CAE Juno, CRiSis, Noelle, Aria), electric hospital beds, blood collection arms, treatment tables, glucometers.
Clinical-Biochemical, Hematological, Hormonal Laboratory – Kits and reagents for blood, hormonal and biochemical analyses, including ELISA and HumaClot. Speech Therapy Laboratory – Patient bed and 2 Bayley-4 Speech Therapy systems for assessing child development.
This investment not only strengthens the professional training of students, but also supports scientific research at UMT, creating new opportunities for innovative projects and the advancement of medical sciences.
With these improvements, the University of Medicine, Tirana aims to increase the quality of teaching and scientific research, creating an academic environment as close as possible to the reality of healthcare.
